On this day in in 1918 the secret wife of Francis X. Bushman, one of cinema's earliest heartthrobs, sues him for a divorce. Bushman's fans were shocked to learn he had a wife at all. Bushman's contracts had specified that the existence of his wife and children not be publicized in order to foster his image as a romantic bachelor. After the scandal, some theaters refused to show Bushman's movies.
You can now directly contact a member of the website via email from their profile page. By that I mean, simply click on the SEND A PRIVATE MESSAGE link listed on every single profile page and type in your message ... the system will then email the message for you to the person for you.
A few side notes: You must be a member of the site to contact other members in this manner. Any abuse of this feature will result in your banishment from this site.
If you have any ideas for enhancements of this feature just let me know.
UPDATE (11/12/2007): The problem with the messages going to you instead of the person you were sending them to has now been fixed. Thank you very much for letting me know about this and for your patience while I fixed it. <3

Massive Removal
For about 5 years now I've asked and asked some of our older members to please update their profile to include their name and year of graduation so that other members of their graduating class can easily identify them. Anyway, after all of these years of begging and pleading I've given up and just removed those accounts. Those still wanting to be a member of the site can simply re-sign up as the accounts are free. This was a necessary step to implement the newest feature of the site which is currently in testing.

I have just added a new feature to the site called My Phone book. This is, as the title suggests, an online way to keep track of your friends and family. It's a simple phone book where you can add an entry, edit and delete them. All entries in your phone book are totally private and only viewable by you.
For the last 55 years Bell's amusement park has been providing good, clean fun. I can remember my many visits as a child to Bell's and I still smile when I think of my summer job there.
Bell's is more than just an amusement park, it is a tradition and a historical part of our community that will be sorely missed if forced to close. I am writing this in hopes that each of you will stand with me in protest of the closing.

On November 9, 2006, the Tulsa County Fair Board offered no new contract for the park. Bell's Amusement Park will have at least 120 days to vacate the property.

Daily Horoscopes
Members can now check out their daily horoscopes. Once you log in click the daily horoscope link from the main menu, set your zodiac sign (leo, virgo, gemini, etc.) and each day your horoscope will come up for you to enjoy!

Programming Updates
Registration now requires that you enter your year of graduation as well as limits the length of your name (with no spaces) that conform to the new technology at the site.
Profile pages now includes your currently location (city/state), marital status, number of children and your myspace link (for those of you who have a myspace page).
Private messages script is now embedded into the site. Every profile page has a link to send a person a private message. If you have any new private messages it will tell you when you log on (left side menu) and on the your account page.
Message boards got a head to toe makeover. It's a script I'm writing myself and it stil needs a lot of work but it's a start. :)
Your account page added, that allows you to update all the various aspects of your account and profile details.
Your weather. You can now add your location weather to your profile page. Just click the UPDATE ZIPCODE link on the your account page and enter your zip code. This will display your local weather for all to see.
Email reminders have arrived. From the YOUR ACCOUNT page select the email reminders link, fill out the form and we will email you a reminder on your specified date. :)
